For lessons in the beginning I recommend that all my students rent an instrument for at least 1-2 months to make sure you enjoy playing and would like to continue. Both Ward-Brodt Music and Heid Music stores rent on a monthly basis.
If students are in school I recommend continuing to rent until they are able to play on a full size instrument. Once they are able to play on a full size instrument then I recommend buying an instrument with my guidance.
